A phoney accident!

Sad but true.... ! !

I lost my NOKIA 3230....in typical Bollywood shtlye.....was in the Driver's seat of my car talking to my pal on the phone when this incident happened....

I was at one of the Million Traffic Signals in Bangalore City(Udupi Garden Signal -BTM Layout to be precise)....I was speaking on the phone with one hand on the Wheel and the other on the window holding my phone...suddenly this guy from the bike next to me at the Signal hit my hand really hard...and the phone fell down....now, that's when I started doing a series of blunders which ended up in me losing the phone forever....
I was pretty shocked that I couldn't notice whether the phone fell out of the car or inside the car...the Signal turned green and I could see the bike Zooooom away...I frantically searched with the door open but the friendly people here in Blore(I'm obviously sarcastic)....Honked their way to Glory....Couldn't stand the noise, so managed to pull the car to one side of the road and immediately jumped out of the car and tried searching for the mobile....but all in vain.....
The next best thing was to try calling my number....hoping against hope that someone would pick it up......and the surprising part was that, the mobile rang and I could hear a feeble voice on the other side.....his voice sounded extremely Drunk and I could smell the liquor over the phone ;o)

The first question he asked was " Mobile Eshhtu guru?" which meant " How Much is the mobile?".....This was a shocking question given that I already felt like the Biggest Loser ever to have roamed the face of this planet .......My phone was robbed right under my nose and all I could do is......... stand there in disbelief that this wasn't happening to me.....
I told him that the phone cost very less and he wouldn't get much money if he sold it.....but he refused to accept it....he wanted to know the exact price of the mobile...
The conversation went on for about 25 minutes.......(can't believe I was negotiating to buy my phone from a thief)...and he finally agreed that if I could give him 5000 bucks, he would return the mobile to me.....I realized that all I needed was an opportunity to get him to come to a public place.....so that I could plan the snatching from him for a change ........with a help of my friends....
He suddenly changed his mind and asked me to call him the next day morning , cause he wanted to sleep over this thought...(what Crap ! ! )

The next day....it was gone ! !

Every time I called, I kept getting "This AIRTEL number that you have called is switched off, please try again later"....( like F***, it was genuinely switched off).....
I tried for a couple of days after that....but kept getting the same msg....I realized that the phone must have been sold by now( One Lucky Bastard ! ! got to buy my phone)...

Hmmm.....well life has to go on doesn't it?.....I promised myself, never to talk on the phone when I'm driving and to ensure all the windows are up, when I am in a car...

So people...BEWARE ! ! we work our asses out, for over a month to get one funky gadget of technology in our hand....and some Loser, son of a gun...gets to rob you and make easy cash out of it....give it some thought ! !

How safe are you?

Hi...would like to share a nothing-to-feel-good-about incident that happened on the universally acclaimed Hosur Road ( for all the wrong reasons though) while I was returning home from Office a couple of days ago.......
I was in one of the Infosys(Infy) buses and I noticed there was an Infy bus right in front of us..All of a sudden our bus halted....I also noticed a group of people rushing from all sides towards the bus in front of us...it really sounded unusually noisy....waking a lot of snoring Software Engineers in my bus, I looked out through the window and could see the driver of the Infy bus in front of us ...jump out of his seat...and run across the road to the opposite side...and my instincts told me...something was really not right ....
As we went closer to the bus, I could see all the employees rushing out of the single narrow door that the bus had.....Could hear people on the road shouting " Accidentuu...Aa yamman melle hatusbutta le, Begaa Ambulancege phone maadro .." which meant "Its an Accident,a lady has been run over by the bus...Call the Ambulance fast"..... I prayed that, it wouldn't be too serious...but the unfortunate happened..could hear something more now...I heard one in the crowd say, the lady was killed instantly....and then the unexpected happened....one of them started flinging stones at the bus...and so did all of them the next second....luckily all the employees in the bus had already got off the bus and the mob went crazy...the bus had suffered a dozen hits in less than a minute...from all sides...Our driver realised that the incident was taking a life of its own....our driver tried to sneak away from the mob...but, it was too late..the mob quickly realised that our bus was also an Infy bus...and the next second, the windscreen of our bus shattered hard...into a million pieces...the next thing I know is that all of us closed all the windows and lay on the floor of the bus....waiting for the situation to cool..so that we could get off the bus....
Finally...we managed to open the door and dash out of the door...All of us managed to escape unhurt.....Was happy to make it out of the bus in one piece..... I caught another bus and made it home safely..and there was one thought that kept my mind occupied...What if the mob had set the bus ablaze? What if?....the incident would have had a nasty end..... Just pray that this doesnt happen to anyone.....

Best Holiday ever....

Im Back from my greatest Holiday destination....

This time I holidayed with my folks and the place we chose was the best we could ask for...........
Lakshadweep Islands is a sheer poetry of the blue shades of the sea and sky. The mystic whiteness and greenary of land merging, intermingling and generating a symphony of liveness. Lakshadweep is truly a rhythm of Land and Sea....was really lucky to be there....and have a glimpse of this awesome place...
I went along with my parents and cruised across from Kochi to an Island Resort, and spent close to a week there....lying on the beach..and watching the Sunset in the beautiful horizon and also the Night sky for shooting stars...one hell of a vacation....will upload most of the pics I took soon.....

feels good to get back...

Yipee ! ! ...........the Training is over ! !
Started my Training program on 1st of August and went on till 4th of October. Two months of confinement has taken a lot out of me. I made a whole bunch of new friends and learnt a lot of stuff. I infact started blogging in the early days of training, when the schedule was relaxed and besides, I was the only one who had 24 hours internet access :)
I am back in my beautiful city and now in my very own Den, as I write this Post.....I sure am delighted to be back.

We all know that Coca-Cola n Pepsi have been the most competitive beverage companies .....Take a look at this hoarding by Pepsi. This building is on TTK Road, Chennai. Coca Cola has occupied the 2nd floor for their sales & marketing office and recently fixed a board. Two days later Pepsi put up a board in the same building where they have no retail outlet ...
